Photographs
Using the computerised booths in the Audio and Video Space, you can carry out iconographical searches on a constantly evolving collection of 55,000 photos (25,000 of which have been scanned).

Documentary photos
These cover the twenty-two Arab countries that are the Institute's partners: Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen.

The domains covered are architecture, art, crafts, the sea and agriculture, industry, the economy, society, science and technology, the environment and archaeology.

Photos «Mémoires de l'IMA»
This collection is permanently enhanced with images taken during concerts, dance shows, theatre, cinema festivals, events for young people and meetings-debates (Thursdays at the IMA and the IMA Platform) organised throughout the year by the Institute.

Early photos
5,000 images on various media (glass plates, albumen paper, negatives, etc.) dating from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century.
